TEXAS CERTIFIED PROBATE ADVISOR™
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The TCPA certification requirements are to arm you with the skills needed to help clients with their probate matters.
Education
The education requirement is met by either (1) completing the Texas Probate Board coursework or (2) holding a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Examination
The TCPA™ exam is a 50-question, multiple-choice test that includes stand-alone and scenario-based questions, as well as questions associated with case studies.
Experience
The experience requirement is met by either 6,000 hours of relevant professional experience or 4,000 hours of apprenticeship experience.
Membership
The membership requirement is met by agreeing to be bound by the Texas Probate Board Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct and other member requirements.
